Check Conditions
The A/C compressor assembly power supply voltage is between 10 and 16 volts.
The A/C compressor voltage is between 205 volts and 415 volts for 2 seconds.
The drive battery temperature minimum value is more than 15°C (59°F).
The intake air temperature is more than 0°C (32°F).
Judgment Criterion
The absolute value of the difference between the A/C compressor input voltage value and the driving battery voltage value remains 20 volts or more for two seconds.
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
Refer to Diagnostic Function - OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 3 .
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of the CAN bus
Malfunction of the A/C compressor assembly
Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU.
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) other system DTC (A/C compressor assembly) (Refer to ).
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC. Then go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to Diagnostic Function - OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 3 .
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54Da - PHEV-ECU ). Then go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.
STEP 3. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to Diagnostic Function - OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 3 .
