DTC P1D76: Wakeup Request Signal Abnormal
 
 
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
  • While the on board charger is allowed to charge from PHEV-ECU.
Judgment Criterion
  • The data cannot be received from the ETACS-ECU.
  • The abnormal charging reservation signal is detected.
 
 
 
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • Not applicable
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The CAN bus is failed.
  • Short circuit or harness damage in the charging reservation signal circuit or the loose connector contact.
  • The ETACS-ECU is failed.
  • The on board charger is failed.
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose CAN bus line.
  • Diagnose CAN bus line.
Is the CAN bus line normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other system DTC is set.
Is the DTC related to ETACS-ECU system set?
Check ETACS-ECU system (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS - Troubleshooting ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Check of short to ground, open circuit and damage in CHIN line between on board charger/DC-DC converter connector and ETACS-ECU.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the on board charger/DC-DC converter (Refer to ).
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
