DTC P1AC6: Each Cell VOLT. Diff. (HI Side)
 
 
cautionWhenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON, or the main drive lithium-ion battery starts to be charged.
  • Either one of the following diagnostic trouble code is not set.
    • P0AC0: Current sensor rationality
    • P0AC1: Current sensor range check-min
    • P0AC2: Current sensor range check-max
    • P1AAC: Current sensor signal time out
    • P1AAD: Battery current sensor fail (CAN)
    • P1AD3 - P1ADD: CMU Signal time out
Judgment Criterion
  • The abnormal cell voltage is detected.
noteIf the battery module is replaced, the diagnostic trouble code should be set because the battery module having the different battery cell status is mounted. However, that is normal.
 
 
 
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • Not available
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSE
  • The module (battery cell and CMU) in the main drive lithium-ion battery is failed.
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list.
(1) Set scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to the data list for item No.30 Average cell Voltage (Refer to ).
OK: 4 volts or more
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Perform normal charging for the main drive lithium-ion battery. Then go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check data list.
(1) Set scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to the data list for item No.31 Voltage dif. fail judgment MAX (Refer to ).
OK: 0.05 volt or less
Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Perform normal charging for the main drive lithium-ion battery. Then recheck the DTC.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the main drive lithium-ion battery assembly (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.
