Logic Flow Chart
Check Conditions
  • BMU (SUB) power supply voltage is 8 volts to 16 volts.
  • Time after above conditions satisfy is more than 120 seconds.
Judgment Criterion
  • A state where the value gained by calculating the difference between the value of the wake time calculated by BMU (SUB) and the value of the wake time calculated by clock IC is 0.05 or more continues for 180 seconds.

OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
  • Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 2 .

FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • Not available

PROBABLE CAUSE
  • The sub-battery management unit [BMU (SUB)] is failed.

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 2 .
(2) Check the DTC set.
Is the DTC set?
Remove the battery tray cover (Refer to ). Replace the sub-battery management unit [BMU (SUB)] on main drive lithium-ion battery (Refer to ). Then, assemble the main drive lithium-ion battery assembly (Refer to ). Then go to Step 2.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).

STEP 2. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 2 .
(2) Check the DTC set.
Is the DTC set?
Retry the troubleshooting.
The inspection is complete.
