STEP 1. Check SAVE/CHARGE mode switch
Refer to GROUP 22A - Selector Lever .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the Shift indicator panel assembly (Refer to GROUP 22A - Selector Lever ).

STEP 2. Check the ground line for open circuit (SAVE/CHARGE mode switch and body ground).
(1) Disconnect the SAVE/CHARGE mode switch connector.
(2) Take the measurements below at the SAVE/CHARGE mode switch wiring harness side connector.
  • Continuity SW1- terminal between SAVE/CHARGE mode switch wiring harness side connector and body ground.
OK: Continuity (less than 2 Ω)
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector or wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check the signal line for open and short circuit (PHEV-ECU and the SAVE/CHARGE mode switch).
(1) Take the measurements below at the SAVE/CHARGE mode switch wiring harness side connector.
  • Continuity SVCH terminal between PHEV-ECU wiring harness side connector and body ground.
OK: No continuity
  • Continuity SVCH terminal between PHEV-ECU wiring harness side connector and SAVE/CHARGE mode switch wiring harness side connector.
OK: Continuity (less than 2 Ω)
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Repair the connector or wiring harness.

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list. <PHEV-ECU>
