DTC P082F: Shift sensor(main) circuit high

Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

DTC SET CONDITIONS

The PHEV-ECU sets this DTC when the main signal circuit in the shift sensor fails.

PROBABLE CAUSES

Required Special Tools

STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list. <PHEV-ECU>

Check that the following data list display contents are normal (Refer to

Data list

Check condition	Normal condition
The selector lever is at the R position with the power supply mode of the electric motor switch turned on.	0.79 - 1.29 V
The selector lever is at the H (home)/N position with the power supply mode of the electric motor switch turned on.	2.3 - 2.7 V
The selector lever is at the D/B position with the power supply mode of the electric motor switch turned on.	3.7 - 4.2 V

Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 2

STEP 2. Check the signal line for short to power supply circuit (PHEV-ECU and selector lever assembly).

Check the wiring harness PHEV-ECU connector (terminals SFV, SFS) and selector lever assembly (terminals No.9, No.7).

Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3

Repair the connector or wiring harness.

STEP 3. Selector lever assembly check.

Refer to GROUP 22A - Selector Lever Assembly Operation Check

Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4

Replace the selector lever assembly (Refer to GROUP 22A - Selector Lever

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.

Recheck the DTC.

(1) Erase the DTC.

(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.

(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.

(4) Check the DTC.
