DESCRIPTIONS OF MONITOR METHODS
The torque of the drive motor and the starter generator is monitored by the PHEV-ECU, checking that the drive motor and the starter generator are safely controlled.
MONITOR EXECUTION
Continuous
MONITOR EXECUTION CONDITIONS (Other monitor and Sensor)
Other Monitor (There is no temporary DTC stored in memory for the item monitored below)
- Motor/Generator control circuit monitor
- EV-CAN monitor
Sensor (The sensor below is determined to be normal)
Check Conditions
- The power supply mode of electric motor switch is ON.
- The PHEV-ECU power supply voltage is more than 9.0 volts.
- The motor/generator drive signal is ON or OFF.
Judgment Criterion
- When the motor/generator drive signal is ON, a state where the IGBT is OFF continues for 2 seconds
- When the motor/generator drive signal is OFF, a state where the IGBT is ON continues for 2 seconds

PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of the power drive unit (GCU).
