DTC U119A: VIN mismatch

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

DTC SET CONDITIONS
If the VIN stored in the ECM does not correspond to that stored in the PHEV-ECU, the PHEV-ECU will set DTC U119A.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • VIN written improperly.
  • Malfunction of nonvolatile memory.

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Confirm that no DTC P06B8 is output to the PHEV-ECU.
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC (Refer to ).
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Confirmation of chassis number
Check the chassis number of PHEV-ECU and ECM.
Is the check result normal?
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Write chassis number to PHEV-ECU and ECM (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Write the VIN to Write the Engine Control Module, the KOS-ECU, the OSS-ECU, the PHEV-ECU and the REMCU ).
