If signal from the side-view camera (LH) cannot be received for 5 seconds or more, the camera-ECU sets DTC No. B2546.

When DTC No. B2546 is set, the segment, which corresponds to a defective camera, is displayed in blue.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The door mirror assembly (LH) may be defective
The camera-ECU may be defective
The wiring harness or connectors may have loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
MB991223: Harness Set
MB992006: Extra Fine Probe
STEP 1. Check the wiring harness between side-view camera (LH) connector and camera-ECU connector.
Check the following.
Check of open circuit in ACCS line.
Check of open circuit in GNDS line.
Check of open or short circuit in VSV line.
Check of open circuit in S-EX line.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
STEP 2. Recheck for DTC.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Press the electric motor switch to turn the power supply mode from "OFF" to "ON."
(3) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Go to Step 3.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
STEP 3. Check the side-view camera (LH).
Use an oscilloscope to check the output waveform of the side-view camera (LH) (Refer to ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the side-view camera (LH) (Refer to ).
STEP 4. Recheck for DTC.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Press the electric motor switch to turn the power supply mode from "OFF" to "ON."
(3) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the camera-ECU (Refer to ).
