REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
 
 
Pre-removal Operation
  • Motor Coolant Draining (Refer to GROUP 14B - On-vehicle Service ).
  • Power Drive Unit Removal (Refer to GROUP 54Db - Inverter <front> ).
  • Front Sidemember Bracket A and C Removal (Refer to GROUP 42A - Loose panel ).
Post-installation Operation
  • Front Sidemember Bracket A and C Installation (Refer to GROUP 42A - Loose panel ).
  • Power Drive Unit Installation (Refer to GROUP 54Db - Inverter <front> ).
  • Motor Coolant Filling (Refer to GROUP 14B - On-vehicle Service ).

<<A>> TRANSMISSION MOUNTING BRACKET REMOVAL
cautionWhen you support the assembly (which consists of the engine, the generator, the front motor and the front transaxle), the weight of the assembly must not be taken by the oil pan only. Always use wooden blocks or pieces and then place the oil pan flange on them. Never put the oil pan directly on a floor as it will be deformed.
1. Place a cart below the assembly.
2. Raise the vehicle to take the weight of the assembly off the transmission mounting bracket.
3. Remove the nuts and bolts securing the transmission mounting bracket.
4. Remove the transmission mounting bracket.
