DTC C1752: Radar Temperature out of Range

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.

OPERATION
The ACC-ECU monitors temperature at the radar.

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITION
This DTC is set when the abnormality below is detected:
  • cruise control switch "ON" or FCM switch "ON"
  • Control is cancelled in order to protect the ACC-ECU.
  • The temperature which the ACC-ECU detects at the radar is below -30°C (-22°F) or over 95°C (203°F).

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The ACC-ECU remains protected.
  • Severe driving condition (e.g. driving under high load)
  • Malfunction of ACC-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the radar temperature (high or low).
(1) Turn the power supply mode of electric motor switch OFF and then wait for a while so that the radar at the ACC-ECU remains at appropriate temperature.
(2) Erase the DTC.
(3) Check if the DTC is set.
Is DTC C1752 set?
Go to Step 2.
This diagnosis is complete(Protection is deactivated)

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list.
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
(2) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Check the following data list (Refer to ).
  • Item No.02: Radar temperature
(4) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
Is the check result normal?
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the ACC-ECU (Refer to ).
