Inspection Procedure 6: Hands-free cellular phone system does not operate normally. <Vehicles with display audio (CD player no equipped type)>
 
 
cautionBefore replacing the radio and CD player, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
If a hands-free cellular phone system does not function correctly, a Bluetooth® device is not paired or the radio and CD player may be defective.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of radio and CD player
  • Pairing with the Bluetooth® device has not been completed.
  • The Bluetooth® device is not supported.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the Bluetooth® device.
Check whether the Bluetooth® device is supported.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Use the supported Bluetooth® device.
 
STEP 2. Reset the radio and CD player and check the trouble symptom.

  • If "Memory Initialization" is performed, all the data stored by customer will disappear. Therefore, prior to the reset, the agreement of the customer should be obtained.
  • If "Memory Initialization" is performed, the guide line for the rear view camera will be initialized. In that case, readjust the guide line.
Perform "Memory Initialization. (Refer to .)
(2) Carry out the necessary pairing for the Bluetooth® device. (Refer to .)
(3) Check whether the hands-free cellular phone system works normally.
Is the check result normal?
The diagnosis is complete.
Replace the radio and CD player.
