RADAR CALIBRATION

If the ACC-ECU is replaced or removed and installed, use the following procedure to perform the radar calibration.
1.
caution
  • Before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
  • Prior to this service operation, check the ACC-ECU radar for dirt or foreign material. Check the wheel alignment, the tire inflation pressure and load condition, which may cause the vehicle to be tilted. Then correct them if necessary.
Before setting scan tool (M.U.T.-III), turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
3. Select "ACC/FCM"

Select "Reset"
6. Select "Reset alignment values".
7. Return to "Special function"
8. Select "Learning"

note
  • Prepare a vehicle travelling in front, and weather should be good so as to check the road condition.
  • Drive the vehicle on a straight road [which radius exceeds 250 m (820 ft)].
13. ACC symbol display screen" on the multi-information display should illuminate instead of flashing at 2 Hz.
noteIf "ACC symbol display screen" flashes at 1 Hz instead of 2 Hz on the information screen of the multi-information display, check the adaptive cruise control (ACC) system (Refer to ). Then repeat the procedure from step 6.
14. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK"(OFF) position.
