Inspection Procedure 7: GPS can not be received.
 
 
caution
  • Park the vehicle in an open area where radio wave is not shielded.
  • When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.
 
 
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
If the GPS can not be received, there is a possibility that the vehicle is in a place not suitable for communication, a defect in the GNSS/TEL antenna assembly or a defect in the TCU.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • The vehicle is in a place not suitable for communication
  • The GNSS/TEL antenna assembly may be defective
  • The TCU may be defective
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Confirm that the vehicle is parked properly.
Check that the vehicle is parked in an open area.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Move the vehicle to an open area. Then go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list.
Check the TCU data list (Refer to ).

cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
