DTC B16A6 Turn signal fuse blown
 
 
caution
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
When the hazard warning light fuse is blown, the ETACS-ECU sets DTC B16A6.
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
With the DTC not set, when the blown fuse of hazard warning light is detected three times consecutively, the ETACS-ECU sets DTC B16A6.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • The ETACS-ECU may be defective
  • The wiring harness or connectors may have loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Fuse check.
Check if the turn-signal light fuse is normal.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Replace the turn-signal light fuse.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the DTC again.

cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
(2) Erase the DTC.
(3) Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(4) Check if DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the ETACS-ECU.
The diagnosis is complete.
