Inspection Procedure 4: Keyless operation warning display does not disappear.
 
 
cautionBefore replacing the ECU, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
 
 
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of combination meter
  • Malfunction of the KOS&OSS-ECU
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose the CAN bus line
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C - Diagnosis ). On completion, go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the other system DTC.
Check if any DTC is set in the combination meter.
Is the DTC set?
Perform troubleshooting for the combination meter (Refer to GROUP 54A - Combination Meter - Diagnosis ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the DTC.
Check if any DTC is set in the KOS&OSS-ECU.
Is the DTC set?
Perform troubleshooting for the KOS&OSS-ECU (Refer to ).
Go to Step 4.
 
STEP 4. Retest the system
Check that the keyless operation warning light turns OFF unless the flashing or illumination conditions are met.
Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace KOS&OSS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
