caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
  • If DTC U0100, U0101, U0114, U0126, U0317, U15A0 and U15A5 are set in ASC-ECU, always diagnose the CAN bus line. If there is any fault in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. In this case, the set DTC is not highly reliable.
  • Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.

DTC SET CONDITIONS
This DTC is set if ASC-ECU cannot receive the signal sent from other ECU for a certain period.

OPERATION
ASC-ECU communicates with the ECM, TCM, AWC-ECU, steering wheel sensor, electric parking brake ECU, ACC-ECU and FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU via the CAN bus lines.

PROBABLE CAUSES
DTC U0100
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • ECM malfunction
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U0101
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • TCM malfunction
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U0114
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • AWC-ECU malfunction
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U0126
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • Steering wheel sensor malfunction
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U0317
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of electric parking brake ECU
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U15A0
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of ACC/FCM-ECU
  • ASC-ECU malfunction
DTC U15A5
  • Wiring harness or connector failure of CAN bus line
  • Malfunction of FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU
noteDTC C1752 may be also set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
  • ASC-ECU malfunction

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose the CAN bus line.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check other system DTC
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to check if the DTC (timeout DTC related) is set to other ECU. (Refer to GROUP 54C - CAN-Related Diagnostic Trouble Code Table ).
Is other DTC set?
Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
Is DTC U0100, U0101, U0114, U0126, U0317, U15A0 or U15A5 set?
: Replace the ECM (Refer to GROUP 13A - ECM ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace the TCM (Refer to GROUP 23A - TCM ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace AWC-ECU (Refer to GROUP 23A - AWC-ECU ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace steering wheel sensor (Refer to ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace the electric parking brake ECU (Refer to GROUP 36 - Electric Parking Brake ECU ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to GROUP 17 - Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC) ), and then go to Step 4.
: Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ), and then go to Step 4.
: The procedure is complete.

STEP 4.
Replace the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.
