DTC U1073: Bus-off
 
 
caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the steering column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor) is replaced, always carry out calibration to make ASC-ECU learn the neutral point (Refer to ).
 
 
OPERATION
The steering wheel sensor outputs the steering wheel status to ASC-ECU via the CAN bus lines.
 
 
DTC SET CONDITIONS
When the system detects a malfunction in the CAN-bus line.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The CAN bus line is defective.
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the steering column switch assembly (Integrated with steering wheel sensor)
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) CAN bus diagnosis.
2. DTC U1073 recheck after resetting CAN bus lines.
3. Check again if the DTC is set in the steering wheel sensor.
