DTC C1613: Drive Mode Selector System (Stuck ON)
 
 
 
 
OPERATION
The AWC-ECU controls the driving mode by the signal from the S-AWC drive mode-selector.
 
 
DTC SET CONDITIONS
This DTC will be set when the S-AWC drive mode-selector is seized.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of S-AWC drive mode-selector
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of AWC-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) data list.
Item No.68: Drive mode selector (Refer to ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Check of short circuit in SW1 line S-AWC drive mode-selector connector and AWC-ECU connector.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
STEP 3. Check of the S-AWC drive mode-selector
Refer to .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the S-AWC drive mode-selector (Refer to ).
 
STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC C1613 set?
Replace the AWC-ECU (Refer to ).
