DTC C2276: Brake switch signal
 
 
caution
  • When the ETACS-ECU of vehicles without KOS is replaced, the encrypted code of the ignition key needs to be registered to the ETACS-ECU. (If the encrypted code is not registered, the engine cannot be started. Register the encrypted code as described in GROUP 54A, Immobilizer System - How to Register Key ID .)
  • When the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).
 
 
OPERATION
The ACC/FCM-ECU receives stoplight switch signal from the ETACS-ECU.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITION
Check Conditions
  • More than 2 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
  • ACC/FCM-ECU power voltage is more than 9 volts and is less than 18 volts.
Judgment Criterion
  • An invalid stoplight switch signal received from the ETACS-ECU.
noteA DTC is not set as a historic fault.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of the ACC/FCM-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Is DTC C2276 set?
Replace the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - ETACS-ECU ). Then go to Step 2.
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Is DTC C2276 set?
Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ).
This diagnosis is complete.
