When replacing the ECU, always check that the communication circuit is normal.
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
If an open or short to ground circuit is detected in the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side), the DTC is set.
JUDGMENT CRITERIA
An open circuit or short to ground is detected consecutively five times when radio waves are sent from the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side) .
PROBABLE CAUSES
Malfunction of the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side)
Malfunction of the KOS&OSS-ECU
Damaged wiring harness and connectors
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check of short to ground or open circuit in INFP, INFG lines between the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side) connector and the KOS&OSS-ECU connector
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the wiring harness.
STEP 2. Keyless operation system communication test
Check that the communication with the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side) is normal (Refer to Antenna Communication Test ).
Front antenna(indoor)
OK: Normal is displayed.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Replace the keyless operation antenna (Front: Inner side) (Refer to ).
STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Engine switch: "OFF"
(3) Perform power supply mode switching operation several times.
(4) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace KOS&OSS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ).
Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
