STEP 1. Check the No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure) resistance at intermediate connector.
STEP 2. Check of open circuit and harness damage in DI+4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure) connector.
STEP 3. Check of open circuit and harness damage in DI-4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure) connector.
STEP 4. Check the No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure).
STEP 5. Check of short circuit to ground in DI+4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure) connector.
STEP 6. Check of short circuit to ground in DI-4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and No. 4 cylinder injector (high pressure) connector.
STEP 7. Check of open circuit and harness damage in DI+4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and ECM connector.
STEP 8. Check of short to ground, open circuit and harness damage in DI-4 line between injector (high pressure) intermediate connector and ECM connector.
STEP 9. Check the trouble symptoms.
STEP 10. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to Diagnostic Function - OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 1 . (2) Check the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
Is DTC P21E2 set?
Retry the troubleshooting. The inspection is complete.
