DTC P1797: G Sensor/Brake Pressure Sensor Malfunction
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
TCM determines if the CAN signals it receives from the ASC-ECU are normal.
 
 
JUDGMENT CRITERIA
If the following conditions are met after it is detected that the power supply voltage is 9 V or more, the engine speed is 450 r/min or more, and the vehicle speed was 5 km/h (3.1 mph) or more.
  • The brake fluid pressure sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.
  • The front/rear G sensor error signal reception continues for 5 seconds.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
  • Malfunction of TCM
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to check the DTC of other systems.
Check if ASC-related DTC is stored.
Is the ASC-related DTC stored?
Carry out the appropriate troubleshooting (Refer to GROUP 35C, Diagnosis - Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Symptom recheck after erasing DTC.
Is the DTC stored?
Replace the TCM (Refer to ).
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
