Code No. C1390 Lateral G sensor active check

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnostic trouble code may be stored. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C, Trouble code diagnosis ).
  • Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) is replaced, always carry out the calibration of the steering wheel sensor and the G and yaw rate sensor (Refer to and ).

OPERATION
The G and yaw rate sensor output signal is sent to the ASC-ECU.

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITIONS
The ASC-ECU monitors the G and yaw rate sensor output signal, and when the value sent from the G and yaw rate sensor is out of a predetermined range, the ECU determines that the trouble occurs and stores the diagnostic trouble code.

PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of ASC-ECU
noteWhen the vehicle is placed on a high-speed turning table, this diagnostic trouble code will also be stored.
