Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK BACK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
  1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect back door opener switch connector.
  3. Check voltage between back door opener switch harness connector and ground.

2.CHECK BACK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH CIRCUIT
  1. Disconnect keyless operation key unit connector.
  2. Check continuity between back door opener switch harness connector and keyless operation key unit harness connector.

  3. Check continuity between back door opener switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace keyless operation key unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION.
Repair or replace harness.
 
3.CHECK BACK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between back door opener switch harness connector and ground.

4.CHECK BACK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH
Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?

Replace back door opener switch. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION.
 
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to Intermittent IncidentHOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS.
