Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK FUSE
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Check that the following fuse is not blown (open).
    Signal nameFuse No.
    Second seat heater LH power supply66 (30A)
Is the fuse blown (open)?
Replace the blown (open) fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).
 
2.CHECK SECOND SEAT HEATER LH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
  1. Disconnect second seat heater LH connector.
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  3. Check voltage between second seat heater LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the second seat heater LH power supply circuit.
 
3.CHECK SECOND SEAT HEATER LH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Check continuity between second seat heater LH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
4.CHECK SECOND SEAT HEATER LH LIN SIGNAL
  1. Connect second seat heater LH connector.
  2. Electric motor switch ON.
  3. Confirm output waveform between second seat heater LH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector with oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace seat cushion pad. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
 
5.CHECK SECOND SEAT HEATER LH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect second seat heater LH connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between second seat heater LH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
6.CHECK SECOND SEAT HEATER LH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Front seat heater LH
    • Front seat heater RH
    • Second seat heater RH
  2. Check continuity between second seat heater LH harness connector and ground.
    Second seat heater LH–Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair the harness or connector.
