Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK FUSE
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Check that the following fuse is not blown (open).
    Signal nameFuse No.
    Front seat heater RH power supply4 (15A)
Is the fuse blown (open)?
Replace the blown (open) fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).
 
2.CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER RH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
  1. Disconnect front seat heater RH connector.
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  3. Check voltage between front seat heater RH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the front seat heater RH power supply circuit.
 
3.CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER RH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Check continuity between front seat heater RH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
4.CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL
  1. Connect front seat heater RH connector.
  2. Electric motor switch ON.
  3. Confirm output waveform between front seat heater RH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector with oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace seat cushion pad. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
 
5.CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect front seat heater RH connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between front seat heater RH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
6.CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Front seat heater LH
    • Second seat heater LH
    • Second seat heater RH
  2. Check continuity between front seat heater RH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair the harness or connector.
