Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) POWER SUPPLY
  1. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  2. Check voltage between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

2.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect air mix door motor (passenger side) connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair harness or connector.
 
3.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Connect air mix door motor (passenger side) connector and A/C amp. connector.
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  3. Confirm output waveform between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector with oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace air mix door motor (passenger side). Refer to Removal and Installation.

4.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect air mix door motor (passenger side) connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair harness or connector.
 
5.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Air mix door motor (driver side)
    • Air mix door motor (rear)
    • Intake door motor
    • Mode door motor
  2. Check continuity between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and ground.
    Air mix door motor (passenger side)—Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair harness or connector.
 
6.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect air mix door motor (passenger side) connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Repair harness or connector.
 
7.CHECK AIR MIX DOOR MOTOR (PASSENGER SIDE) LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Air mix door motor (driver side)
    • Air mix door motor (rear)
    • Intake door motor
    • Mode door motor
  2. Check continuity between air mix door motor (passenger side) harness connector and ground.
    Air mix door motor (passenger side)—Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair harness or connector.
