Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR POWER SUPPLY
  1. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  2. Check voltage between mode door motor harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

2.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect mode door motor connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between mode door motor harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair harness or connector.
 
3.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Connect mode door motor connector and A/C amp. connector.
  2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
  3. Confirm output waveform between mode door motor harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector with oscilloscope.

Replace mode door motor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

4.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect mode door motor connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between mode door motor harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Repair harness or connector.
 
5.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Air mix door motor (passenger side)
    • Air mix door motor (driver side)
    • Air mix door motor (rear)
    • Intake door motor
  2. Check continuity between mode door motor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair harness or connector.
 
6.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN
  1. Turn the electric motor switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect mode door motor connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between mode door motor harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

7.CHECK MODE DOOR MOTOR LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Air mix door motor (passenger side)
    • Air mix door motor (driver side)
    • Air mix door motor (rear)
    • Intake door motor
  2. Check continuity between mode door motor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
