Work Procedure
 
 
cautionAlways use M.U.T.-III SE for the side G sensor calibration. (It cannot be adjusted other than with M.U.T.-III SE.)
1.CHECK THE VEHICLE STATUS
  1. Steer the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. Stop the vehicle on level surface.
  2. Stop the engine.
  3. Electric motor switch OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
Is the vehicle stopped in the straight-ahead position on level surface?

2.PERFORM SIDE G SENSOR CALIBRATION
caution
  • Never allow passenger or load on the vehicle.
  • Never apply vibration to the vehicle body when opening or closing door during calibration.
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Electric motor switch ON.
    cautionNever start engine.
  2. Select “ABS", “Sensor calibration(in "Special function")" and “SIDE G SENSOR CALIBRATION" in this order.
  3. Select “OK".
  4. After "Completed" is displayed, wait bout 10 seconds and press "OK".
  5. Electric motor switch OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) and then it ON again.

3.CHECK DATA MONITOR
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Drive the vehicle. Steer the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. Stop the vehicle on level surface.
  2. Select “ABS", “Data List", and “Side G sensor" in this order. Check that the signal is within the specified value. Refer to Reference Value.
Is the inspection result normal?

4.ERASE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE MEMORY
With M.U.T.-III SE
Erase Diagnostic Trouble Code result of all systems.
Are the memories erased?
INSPECTION END
Check the items indicated by the Diagnostic Trouble Code.
