Diagnosis Procedure
cautionDo not check between the harness connector terminals of the wheel sensor.
1.CHECK WHEEL SENSOR
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Check if the RR RH wheel sensor is damaged.
Is the inspection result normal?
 
2.REPLACE WHEEL SENSOR (1)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Replace the RR RH wheel sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  2. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  3. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  4. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  5. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  6. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1067-13" detected?
INSPECTION END
 
3.CHECKING CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Check if there is open circuit or looseness in the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
  3. Check if there is open circuit or looseness in the RR RH wheel sensor harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness or connector, securely lock the connector.
 
4.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (1)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  3. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  4. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  5. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1067-13" detected?
INSPECTION END
 
5.CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness, connector, terminal, fuse, or fusible link.
 
6.CHECKING TERMINAL
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit), and check that there is no damage on the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) terminals, and check that the wiring harness connector is properly connected.
  3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector of the RR LH wheel sensor, and check that there is no damage on the RR RH wheel sensor terminals, and check that the wiring harness connector is properly connected.
Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness, connector or terminal.
 
7.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (2)
M.U.T.-IIISE
  1. Connect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
  2. Connect the RR RH sensor harness connector.
  3. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  4. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  5. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  6. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  7. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1067-13" detected?
INSPECTION END
 
8.CHECK WHEEL SENSOR HARNESS
  1. Disconnect 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
  3. Disconnect the RR RH wheel sensor harness connector.
  4. Check the continuity of the wiring harness between the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and RR RH wheel sensor harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair / replace harness or connector.
 
9.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (3)

  1. Connect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
  2. Connect the RR RH sensor harness connector.
  3. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  4. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".
  5. Change the electric motor switch to OFF (Auto ACC function OFF) → ON → OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  6. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after change the electric motor switch to ON,
  7. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1067-13" detected?
INSPECTION END
 
10.REPLACE WHEEL SENSOR

  1. Replace the RR RH wheel sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  2. Connect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector.
  3. Connect the battery negative terminal.
  4. Erase the DTC set in "ABS".

  6. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)

  7. Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".
Is DTC "C1067-13" detected?
Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation.
