DESCRIPTION
  • Before the wheel alignment measurement, maintain the front suspension, the steering system and the wheel tires in good condition.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface, and position the front wheel in the straight- ahead position to measure the wheel alignment.
 
 
TOTAL TOE-IN
Standard value
Total toe-in: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
If total toe-in measurement is different from the standard value, adjust the toe-in to the standard value. Refer to Adjustment.
 
 
CAMBER, CASTER, KINGPIN INCLINATION, AND SIDESLIP
note
  • The camber and the caster are pre-adjusted at factory and not adjustable.
  • As for vehicles with aluminum wheel, use a compensator to measure the camber and caster.
 
 
Camber
Check that the camber is within the standard value.
Standard value
Camber: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
 
 
Caster
Check that the caster is within the standard value.
Standard value
Caster: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
 
 
Kingpin inclination
Check that the kingpin inclination is within the standard value.
Standard value
Kingpin inclination: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
 
 
Sideslip
Check that the sideslip amount is within the standard value by using a sideslip tester.

Sideslip: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
caution
  • Before inspecting the sideslip amount, be sure to inspect wheel alignment.
  • Even when the sideslip amount is within the standard value, securely check the toe-in, camber, and caster for the wheel alignment.
