TOE-IN
caution
  • After front wheel alignment adjustment, adjust neutral position of steering angle sensor. Refer to Description.
  • Perform steering torque sensor calibration after front wheel alignment adjustment. Refer to Work Procedure.
Remove the boot clamp of the inner socket, loosen the lock nut of the outer socket, and then perform the adjustment by turning the inner socket (left) and inner socket (right) at the same degree in the opposite direction. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
noteTurning the left inner socket in the vehicle forward direction moves the toe to the outside and turning the right inner socket in the vehicle reverse direction moves the toe to the outside.
caution
  • Always evenly adjust both toe-in alternately and adjust the difference between the left and right to the standard.
  • Always fix the steering inner socket when tightening the steering outer socket.
Standard value
Total toe-in: Refer to Wheel Alignment.
  • After adjustment, check that the steering angle is within the standard range using the turning radial gauge. Refer to Inspection.
  • After toe-in adjustment, adjust neutral position of steering angle sensor. Refer to DescriptionDescription.
  • Perform steering torque sensor calibration after toe-in adjustment. Refer to Work Procedure.
