QUICK CHARGING CONTACTOR CHECK

When servicing the high voltage system parts, always shut off the high voltage by removing the service plug (Refer to PRECAUTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE VEHICLE).
When servicing the high voltage system parts, always wear the protective equipment or armour to measure the high-voltage (Refer to PRECAUTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE VEHICLE) .
When servicing the junction box, On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter, and AC inverter, disconnect the rear interlock connector in addition to the service plug removal. (Refer to PRECAUTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE VEHICLE).

Required Special Tools:

1. Disconnect the junction box connector (4 pins).

2. Check the continuity between the following terminals of the junction box side connector.

3. Remove the junction box upper lid (Refer to JUNCTION BOX REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

) .

4. Disconnect the quick charging contactor connector.

5. Check the continuity between the following terminals of the quick charging contactor connector.

If the resistance value is in the standard value range, repair the connector(s) or harness.
If the resistance value is not in the standard value range, remove the bus bar which is connected to the quick charging contactor, and replace the quick charging contactor.
Tightening torque of the mounting bolt for the quick charging contactor bus bar: 8.0 ± 1.0 N·m (71 ± 8 in-lb)

6. Apply the battery voltage to the quick charging contactor connector terminal, and check the continuity of the following condition,.

Quick charging contactor connector terminal		Check condition	Normal condition
A	B	When the battery voltage is applied between No. 3 (DFR+) terminal and No. 2 (GND) terminal	Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
A	B	When the battery voltage is not applied	No continuity
C	D	When the battery voltage is applied between No. 4 (DFR-) terminal and No. 1 (GND2) terminal	Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
C	D	When the battery voltage is not applied	No continuity

If the resistance value is in the standard value range, the quick charging contactor is normal.
If the resistance value is not in the standard value range, remove the bus bar which is connected to the quick charging contactor, and replace the quick charging contactor.
Tightening torque of the mounting bolt for the quick charging contactor bus bar: 8.0 ± 1.0 N·m (71 ± 8 in-lb)
