DTC No. P1AA2-19: DCDC output over current
 
 
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Condition
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON) or during charging.
Judgment Criterion
  • The output current malfunction in the 12V system is detected.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter
noteThe DTC No. P1AA2-19 may be set due to the following factor.
• Short to ground circuit in the power supply circuit of the electric equipment
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1.Check of the wiring harness between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter and EV home & quick charger cable (12V battery power supply line)
Check the following wiring harness for short to ground circuit.
  • Short to ground circuit between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter connector (H1) (+B terminal) and 12V battery
Is the check result normal?
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
2.Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Erase the set DTC.
(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
(3) Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter (Refer to ON BOARD CHARGER (OBC) &DC-DC CONVERTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
