Required Special Tools:
- MB991223: Wiring harness set
- MB992006: Extra fine probe
- MB992355: Electric insulation tester
1. Remove the power drive unit cover.
2. Remove the service lid on the power drive unit.
3. Disconnect the A/C compressor cable from the power drive unit.
4. Use the electric insulation tester (Special tool: MB992355) and set it to the 1,000 V range.
5. Measure the insulation resistance between the A/C compressor cable high voltage terminals (P, N) and electric A/C compressor (body ground).Standard value: 10 MΩ or more
6. If the measured value is not within the standard value, remove the A/C compressor cable from the electric A/C compressor.
7. Use the electric insulation tester (Special tool: MB992355) and set it to the 1,000 V range.
8. Measure the insulation resistance between the electric A/C compressor high voltage terminals (P, N) and electric A/C compressor (body ground).Standard value: 10 MΩ or more
9. - If the measured value is within the standard value, replace the A/C compressor cable.
- If the measured value is not within the standard value, replace the A/C refrigerant and compressor oil. If the problem is not eliminated even after replacing the A/C refrigerant and the compressor oil, replace the electric A/C compressor.
