DTC No. P1A60-15 Quick Charger Inlet Voltage Monitoring Circuit High/Open

DTC SET CONDITION
Check Condition
  • The IGCT power supply is ON.
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: OFF).
Judgment Criterion
  • The high input of the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) signal is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Damaged wiring harness and connectors
  • Malfunction of the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) power supply circuit
  • Malfunction of the high voltage sensor (for quick charging)
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1.Check of continuity at high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (ground terminal)
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Check the continuity between the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (ground terminal) and body ground.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
Is the check result normal?
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness in ground line between the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector and body ground.

2.Voltage measurement at high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (IGCT power supply terminal)
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: OFF).
(3) Measure the voltage between the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (IGCT power supply terminal) and body ground.
OK: Battery voltage
Is the check result normal?
Repair the faulty part.

3.Voltage measurement at high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (FCVS terminal)
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: OFF).
(3) Measure the voltage between the high voltage sensor (for quick charging) connector (FCVS terminal) and body ground.
OK: Approximately 5 V
Is the check result normal?

4.Check of open circuit in FCVS line between PHEV-ECU and high voltage sensor (for quick charging)
Is the check result normal?
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

5.M.U.T.-IIISE data list
(1) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: OFF).
(2) Check the following PHEV-ECU data list.
  • Item No. 600: Quick Charger Inlet Voltage Sensor signal
    Check conditionNormal condition
    OFF
Is the check result normal?

6.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the high voltage sensor (for quick charging). Then, go to .
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).

7.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The procedure is complete.

8.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
