DTC No. P0D37-00 Hybrid/EV Battery System Current High

noteWhen the overcurrent flows in the high voltage circuit, contact point of the contactor may be damaged. Therefore, Replacing the junction box No. 2 is required.

DTC SET CONDITION
Check Condition
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON) or the drive battery is being charged.
Judgment Criterion
  • The overcurrent in the high voltage circuit is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the high voltage circuit
  • Malfunction of the high voltage system components
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.M.U.T.-IIISE other system DTC
Check whether the following high voltage system components set the DTC.
  • BMU
  • BMU2
  • On Board Charger (OBC)
  • DC-DC converter
  • PHEV A/C amplifier
  • Power drive unit
  • REMCU
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTC. After that, replace the drive battery (Refer to DRIVE BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION), Then go to .

2.Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Erase the set DTC.
(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
(3) Wait for 20 minutes or more.
(4) Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The procedure is complete.

3.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Then, replace the drive battery (Refer to DRIVE BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
