Removal and Installation
cautionPerform lubricant return operation before each refrigeration system disassembly. However, if a large amount of refrigerant or lubricant leak is detected, never perform lubricant return operation. Refer to Perform Lubricant Return OperationPerform Lubricant Return Operation.
 
 
REMOVAL
 
 
1. Use a refrigerant collecting equipment (for HFO-1234yf) to discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Recycle Refrigerant.
2. Remove engine under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation.
3. Remove drive belt. Refer to Removal and Installation.
4. Disconnect harness connectors and from A/C compressor.
: Vehicle front
5. Disconnect low-pressure flexible hose from A/C compressor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
6. Disconnect high-pressure flexible hose from A/C compressor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
7. Remove mounting bolts , and then remove A/C compressor.
 
 
INSTALLATION
Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.
caution
  • Perform compressor lubricant adjusting procedure before installing new compressor. Refer to Lubricant Adjusting Procedure for A/C compressor Replacement.
  • Check for leakages when recharging refrigerant. Refer to Leak Test.
  • Check tension of the drive belt after installing A/C compressor. Refer to AdjustmentAdjustment.
  • Tighten A/C compressor mounting bolts according to the following order.
    • Temporarily tighten .
    • Tighten to the specified torque.
    • Tighten to the specified torque.
    • Tighten to the specified torque.
