Diagnosis Procedure
1.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS OF AWD CONTROL UNIT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Erase self-diagnostic results for “ALL MODE AWD/4WD”.
  2. Start the engine, and wait for 15 seconds or more.
  3. Stop the engine.
  4. Perform self-diagnosis for “ALL MODE AWD/4WD”.
Which DTC is detected?
: .
: Perform the trouble diagnosis for detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index.
: INSPECTION END
 
2.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS OF ECM
With M.U.T.-III SE
Perform self-diagnosis for “ENGINE”.
Is any DTC detected?
Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

3.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS OF TCM
With M.U.T.-III SE
Perform self-diagnosis for “TRANSMISSION”.
Is any DTC detected?
Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

4.CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS
Check AWD control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is inspection result normal?
After turning the ignition switch OFF, perform DTC confirmation procedure again. If DTC “C1210-97” is detected, replace actuator assembly due to the malfunction of the AWD control unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
