Component Inspection (EGR Volume Control Valve)
1.CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-1
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Turn ignition switch ON (engine stopped).
  2. Perform "EGR CONTROL VALVE" in "Actuator Test" (in "Special Function") mode of "ENGINE" using M.U.T.-III SE.
  3. Set “EGR VALVE POSITION” to 0 deg, and check value “V1” of “EGR VALVE POSITION SEN”.
Does “V1” become 0.5 ± 0.1 V?
.
Replace EGR volume control valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.

2.CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-2
With M.U.T.-III SE
Set “EGR VALVE POSITION” to 70 deg, and check value “V2” of “EGR VALVE POSITION SEN”.
Does “V1” become 3.6 ± 0.25 V?
.
Replace EGR volume control valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.

3.CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-3
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF
  2. Remove EGR volume control valve. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  3. Check the resistance between EGR volume control valve terminals.
