DTC Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK KNOCK SENSOR 1 GROUND CIRCUIT
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect knock sensor 1 harness connector.
  3. Disconnect ECM harness connector.
  4. Check the continuity between knock sensor 1 harness connector and ECM harness connector.

  5. Also check harness for short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
2.CHECK KNOCK SENSOR 1 INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Check the continuity between knock sensor 1 harness connector and ECM harness connector.

  2. Also check harness for short to ground and to power.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
 
3.CHECK KNOCK SENSOR 1
Check the knock sensor 1. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent IncidentIntermittent Incident.
Replace knock sensor 1. Refer to Exploded View.
