CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTC P0402 is displayed with other DTC, first perform the trouble diagnosis for other DTC.
Is applicable DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to

CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE VISUALLY
Remove the EGR volume control valve. Refer to
Removal and Installation
.
Visually check the EGR volume control valve for cracks and damage.
Is the inspection result normal?
INSPECTION END
Replace EGR volume control valve. Refer to
Removal and Installation
