Removal and Installation
 
 
REMOVAL
warningBe careful not to get burn yourself, as engine oil and engine coolant may be hot.
 
 
1. Remove the engine under cover front. Refer to Removal and Installation.
2. Drain engine coolant from radiator and cylinder block. Refer to Draining and Setting.
notePerform this step when removing water hoses.
3. Remove the bracket .
4. Remove drive belt. Refer to Removal and Installation.Removal and Installation
5. Remove the air condition compressor mounting bolts. Refer to Removal and Installation.
notePlace the air condition compressor somewhere where it will not become a disturbance to the process.
6. Disconnect all water hoses from oil cooler.
  • When removing oil cooler only, pinching water hoses near oil cooler to prevent engine coolant from spilling out.
  • Remaining engine coolant in piping will come out. Use a tray to collect it.
cautionPerform this step when the engine is cold.
7. Loosen oil cooler bolts in reverse of the sequence shown.
8. Remove oil cooler.
cautionDo not reuse O-rings.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
cautionDo not reuse O-rings.
noteTighten oil cooler bolts to specified torque in the sequence as shown:
Oil cooler bolts: 9.0 N·m (0.92 kg-m, 80 in-lb)
