POSSIBLE CAUSE

Improper electric shift control module registration operation

FAIL-SAFE

Prohibit shifting the shift selector from P position

CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Ignition switch ON.
Check DTC in “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “HANDS FREE MODULE” using M.U.T.-III SE.

Is DTC detected?

-1To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent IncidentIntermittent Incident

-2Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
