Diagnosis Procedure
1.STOP LIGHT SWITCH SYSTEM
Check the stop light switch system. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace stop light switch system.
 
2.CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
Check the brake fluid leakage. Refer to InspectionInspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace brake fluid leakage part.
 
3.CHECK BRAKE PIPING
Check the brake piping.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace brake piping.
 
4.CHECK BRAKE PEDAL
Check the brake pedal.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Adjust the brake pedal height or replace brake pedal assembly.
 
5.CHECK BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Check the brake master cylinder. Refer to InspectionInspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace brake master cylinder. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
6.CHECK BRAKE BOOSTER
Check the brake booster. Refer to InspectionInspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace brake booster. Refer to Removal and InstallationRemoval and installation.
 
7.CHECK VACUUM PIPING AND CHECK VALVE
Check the vacuum piping and check valve. Refer to Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace vacuum piping. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
8.CHECK FRONT DISC BRAKE
Check the front disc brake. Refer to InspectionInspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace front disc brake. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
9.CHECK REAR DISC BRAKE
Check the rear disc brake. Refer to Inspection and AdjustmentInspection and Adjustment.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace rear disc brake. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
10.CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair / replace harness, connector, terminal, fuse, or fusible link.
 
11.PERFORM SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Erase self-diagnosis result for “ABS”.
  2. Ignition switch OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
  3. Start the engine.
    noteWait at least 10 seconds after start the engine.
  4. Start the engine and drive the vehicle for a short period of time.
    noteVehicle must be driven after repair or replacement to erase the previous DTCs.
  5. Stop the vehicle.
  6. Perform self-diagnosis for “ABS”.
Is DTC “C106C-02” detected?
Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation.
Check the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector and terminal for damage, looseness and disconnection. Repair / replace harness, connector, or terminal.
