DTC Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK ENCODER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
  1. The ignition switch is OFF.
  2. Disconnect the shift actuator connector.
  3. The ignition switch is ON.
  4. Check the voltage between shift actuator harness connector terminal and ground.

2.CHECK ENCODER GROUND CIRCUIT
  1. The ignition switch is OFF.
  2. Check the continuity between shift actuator harness connector terminal and ground.

  3. Disconnect the electric shift control module connector.
  4. Check the continuity between electric shift control module harness connector terminal and ground.

Repair or replace damaged parts.
 
3.CHECK ENCODER SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Check the continuity between electric shift control module harness connector terminals and shift actuator harness connector terminals.

  2. Check the continuity between electric shift control module harness connector terminals and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace the transaxle assembly due to malfunction in the encoder (shift actuator). Refer to Remove and InstallationRemoval and Installation.
Repair or replace damaged parts.
 
4.CHECK ENCODER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
  1. The ignition switch is OFF.
  2. Disconnect the electric shift control module connector.
  3. Check the continuity between electric shift control module harness connector terminals and shift actuator harness connector terminals.
