DTC DETECTION LOGIC

P0915	00	GEAR SHIFT POSITION (Gear Shift Position Circuit Range/Performance)	Diagnosis condition	When the ignition switch is ON
			Signal	Encoder signal A and B
			Threshold	Encoder signals are not transmitted despite the actuation of parking actuator by the electric shift control module.
			Diagnosis delay time	—

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Harness or connectors (Encoder circuit is open or shorted.)
Encoder (shift actuator)
Electric shift control module

FAIL-SAFE

Shifting operation is prohibited
Powertrain becomes neutral

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.PRECONDITIONING

If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always ignition switch OFF and wait at least 60 seconds before conducting the next test.

2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Start the engine.
Depress the brake pedal.
Shift the selector lever to “R” position and wait for 10 seconds.
Shift the selector lever to “Nd” position and wait for 10 seconds.
Shift the selector lever to “D/M” position and wait for 10 seconds.
Press the P position switch and wait for 10 seconds.
Check DTC.
