[Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit (PRNDL Input)]
Diagnosis conditionTCM power supply voltage: More than 11 V

ThresholdTwo or more range signals simultaneously stay ON continuously

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connector (Short circuit between transmission range switch and TCM)
  • Transmission range switch
 
 
FAIL-SAFE
  • Shift position indicator on combination meter is not displayed
  • Selector shock is large
  • Start is slow
  • Acceleration is slow
  • Lock-up is not performed
 
 
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PREPARATION BEFORE WORK
If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, the ignition switch is OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

2.CHECK DTC DETECTION
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Depress the brake pedal.
  3. Shift the selector lever to "R" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
  4. Shift the selector lever to "Nd" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
  5. Shift the selector lever to "D/M" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
  6. Press P position switch and wait for 5 seconds or more.
  7. Check the first trip DTC.
