POSSIBLE CAUSE
Harness or connectors (Crankshaft position sensor signal circuit for electric intake valve timing control is open or shorted.)

Device fix mode
  • This mode fixes the electric IVT motor and the EVT control solenoid valve in the reference position.
  • The intake manifold runner control valve motor is turned OFF (intake manifold runner control valve opens).
  • A control signals is not transmitted to EGR volume control valve and the EGR volume control is deactivated.

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTC P2618 is displayed with DTC P0335 or P06B0, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P0335 or P06B0.
Is DTC P0335 or P06B0 detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable.

2.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
  1. Start the engine and wait at least 5 seconds.
  2. Check 1st trip DTC.
